God's holiness elicits different reactions from different people. Why should we be interested in holiness? Because holiness is mandatory if you want to have a relationship with God. Did you know that God's major preoccupation with you is to make you holy? It's His primary goal. It isn't merely to make you wise and enlightened (that's part of the process, but not the goal). His purpose is to conform you to the image of Christ. This is one reason why we sometimes have to go through difficult times in life.
