The parable that Jesus taught in Luke 16 is His use of a “bad example” to teach a good lesson. It seems like Jesus is praising someone for being unrighteous. However, the principle that Jesus is teaching is summed up in the statement, “It is shrewd to use what you cannot keep to gain what you cannot lose.”
