What is pride? The Bible uses word pictures like: magnifying yourself, rebelliousness, stretching out your neck to hold your head higher. When a person is proud, he lives to focus on himself; basically self-worship. Pride makes you concentrate everything on you.

The villain in this story, Haman, is an example of what happens when pride takes hold in a life.
